From the 6th to the 9th of October we visited the German International Championship 2018, also called Q18. This is the DQHA’s biggest show of the year. It is equal to or sometimes bigger than the European championship for Quarter horses. This year Q18 had nearly 600 horses signed up for the show.

Q18 are arranged over nearly two weeks and have many different classes. The show has everything from pleasure, showmanship, halter and so on to reining to ranch riding to cattle classes in the end of the show. My cousin Natasha participates every year. This year she had two horses with her and Michaela (one of the girls from the stable) were also there with her horse.

Me, Anna and my dad left early in the morning Saturday the 6th of October. We arrived down there right before one of the classes where Natasha were in. So, we checked in at the hotel and then directly to the show arena.

After that we had four days with nothing else that western show and horses. It was great to finally see a bigger show. In Denmark we are used to classes with 3 – 10 participants. At Q it was normal with a pleasure class with 45 participants. Here they had to ride two classes first and then qualify for the last ride.

We had some really good days with the Danish camp. Hereunder you can se some pictures from the tour.
